Blind community in B.C. looks for better access to sports and social activities

B.C. blind and partially sighted community says they want funding for recreational spaces to engage in activities safely

Susan Flanagan, a member of services in B.C. Blind Sports and Recreation Association, said there is always a need for space for the blind and partially sighted community to engage in sports activities and foster relationships.
Alex Jurgensen, who dedicated his life to improve blind and deafblind services, said the accessibility to social activities, programs and safe space can not only build their confidence but also acknowledging that they can solve problems independently.
