Podcast: Nov. 19 forum invites students to join campaign for a livable income

This week, reporter Kate Gardiner talked with Kathleen Piovesan and Alice Lee from Liveable Income Vancouver, a local women-led group campaigning to end poverty.
Members of their group are coming to campus next week for a community forum on implementing a Guaranteed Liveable Income in Canada. This week’s podcast offers a preview of some of the questions they’ll answer including: What is a guaranteed Livable Income? Who would it benefit? How can it be implemented?
The event is hosted by Langara’s political science department. It will take place Mon. Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the T-Building Gallery.
