Langara’s cleaning staff are fighting to switch unions, saying they were tricked into a 10-year contract with a union that offers minimal wage increases and only three sick days.
The collective agreement between the LSU and its employees was not renewed when it ended in November of last year, leading to a brief lockout of employees in mid-December.
