Langara's apiary may look sleepy in the snow, but there's more going on underneath the frozen surface

It’s been a weird winter, that’s for sure.
Sunny and warm days were replaced with sudden snowstorms over the past week, and some gardens have suffered for it.
Langara College Community Garden is home to mason bees and a hive of honeybees. Apiarist Dr. Ken Naumann has been studying bees since his undergrad program and says that though he has lost a few hives over the winter since then, it’s not to do with the weather.
